The Mission Leadership Council met in Rome the day after Elder Bednar's Technology Conference. All the missionaries were already in Rome and the timing was perfect. Everyone was already on a spiritual high from the day before. This was the best Capi Conference (Leadership Council) we have had.
* * * * *
"Obedience is a principle of faith."
We talked about principles we had learned from the Mission Conference that was held a month ago and the things we had learned from Elder Bednar and discussed ways to implement these teachings in the mission, in each zone, and in the lives of every missionary.
"The white handbook is not a book of rules
but a book of principles."
The white handbook contains guidelines for life, not just for the mission.
Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
Our purpose says to invite others to come unto Christ. This means not only non-members, but members and missionaries, too.
Leaders can't be powerful leaders unless they are obedient.
All missionaries, including "greenies", should prepare right now to become leaders in the mission.
The entire mission should move in the same direction.
When doing exchanges with other missionaries in their zone, leaders should listen to the spirit. Don't just find new investigators and hand them over, but teach each missionary to find his own investigators. Help strengthen the testimony of each missionary.
Always return and report.
