Christmas Lunch - December 2015

December 25, 2015

After returning from viewing the acquaduct, the senior missionaries went to a restaurant in Caserta (Chichi Bio) for a typical Caserta-style lunch.  (I'm not big on bones in my pig soup or any kind of seafood, so lunch was more fun to look at than eat.)

Caserta

December 13, 2013

Caserta is one of the areas near Naples that is part of the Napoli Zone.  The hotel we stayed at was across the street from the Caserta Palace and just down the street from the main piazza.  After having spent so much time traveling lately, we spent a few minutes to stretch our legs and walked to the piazza.  We attended church in Caserta with the missionaries.  We were surprised on Sunday morning to find the Stake President in the lobby of the same hotel with us.  The entire Stake Presidency was there to attend church at the Caserta Branch.  There is a military branch close to Naples and the members from the base attend church in Caserta.  The meeting is conducted partly in Italian and partly in English.  The missionaries have to be very talented.  Sometimes they are translating from Italian to English and then have to switch from English to Italian.  I loved it because part English and part Italian was right up my alley.  For the first time since being here, I was able to give a talk in English.

Oldest granddaughter would love this dress -- just needs sleeves!

The father said he didn't know who put the Do Not Distrub sign on, but he was grateful.
