Spain Missionaries - April 2014

April 1, 2014

This is no April Fool's joke.  We really got two new missionaries from Spain on April Fool's Day.  We got two excellent missionaries from the Spain MTC who live in Northern Italy.  We didn't get any missionaries from the Provo MTC this time.  This is the first time this has happened since we have been here, so it seemed a little unusual.  It was nice because we had more time to get to know them and feel of their spirits and desire to serve.  One of the new missionaries has been a member all his life and the other has only been a member for three years, but they are both great and we expect great things from them.

We picked them up at the airport and drove them directly to the Rome Temple site.  They were pretty excited to see it.  Afterwards we took them on a quick tour of downtown Rome and the Colosseum so they would get a feel for the mission they will serve in.

WELCOMING DINNER

We always have a welcoming dinner at the villa for the new missionaries.  This time we invited a couple from the office, the assistants, and the office elders to join us.  It's a good time for everyone to bond.  For dessert we walked to the local gelateria for gelato.
