Bari Specialized Training

May 29, 2014

The main emphasis this transfer has been on using family history as a finding tool.  President Waddoups had the missionaries role play by talking about their families.  Many of the missionaries carry pictures of their families with them wherever they go.

The mission nurse did a presentation on ways to stay safe and healthy on a mission.  She talked about guidelines sent out by missionary medical and included several scriptural references.

D&C 82:10
I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do
 not what I say, ye have no promise.

President, Zone Leaders, Sister Training Leader, District Leaders

D&C 89:12-13
Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use
of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used sparingly;

And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of
cold, or famine.

D&C 89:10-11
And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome herbs God hath ordained
for the constitution, nature, and use of man--

Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof;
 all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving.

D&C 89:14-17
All grain is ordained for the use of man and of beast, to be the staff of life, not only
 for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild
animals that run or creep o the earth;

And these hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine and excess of hunger.

All grain is good for the food of man; as also the fruit of the vine; that which
 yieldeth fruit weather in the ground or above the ground--

Nevertheless, wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye
for the fowls and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all
useful animals, and for mild drinks, as also other grain.

D&C 42:41
And let all things be done in cleanliness before me.

Happy Birthday

1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you?

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the
temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
