Gans Activity in Bari

Sunday evening we attended a Gans (Young Single Adult) family home evening held at the apartment of the senior couple in Bari.  The group includes returned missionaries,  members,  new converts, non-members with a baptismal date, investigators and missionaries.  Missionaries are not invited to the meetings unless they have an investigator with them.  All four companionships of missionaries had an investigator with them this time.  Way to go!

Meeting in Palermo

While in Palermo, we attended a meeting with the senior couple serving there and some of the missionaries to help find ways to activate some of the GANS age members who have gone inactive.  A ward missionary attended and that's always such a good thing so we can work together with the wards and branches instead of each trying to do our own thing.

GANS Conference

The annual GANS (Young Single Adult) Conference was held in Pescara this year.  Michael and I gave the Opening Address and talked about being missionaries.  While we were in Pescara, Michael interviewed some of our missionaries serving in that area and then we went to church with them in Pescara before heading home.

Several of the senior couples serving in our mission who are involved with the Young Single Adults attended the conference.  The fun thing for us was that we saw several of our former missionaries who have returned home and are now very active in the GANS program.

The theme for their activities centered around games and they had some really cute, innovative decorations.
