One of our missionaries had to stay behind in Provo for and extra three weeks because of medical concerns. We finally received word he had been cleared to travel to Italy. His new Trainer was ecstatic. He had been waiting three weeks to meet the missionary he would train. Because of the timing and unusual circumstances, there will now be three companions until the next transfer in three weeks. It will all work out well in the end. It always does.
Traditionally the missionaries open their Golden Envelopes at the villa the night before they travel to meet their Trainers. This new anziano got to open his golden envelope at the airport before having his new companions accompany him to the car. We stopped at the temple for photos and then ate lunch at a nearby tavolacaldo. After topping lunch off with gelato, we took the missionaries to their apartment. Hopefully our new elder was able to get some much needed sleep.
