Departing Missionaries - July 2015

Alma 26:27-28

Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, 

the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, 

the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, 

and I will give unto you success.

And now behold, we have come, and been forth amongst them; and we have 

been patient in our sufferings, and we have suffered every privation; 

yea, we have traveled from house to house, relying upon the

 mercies of the world—not upon the mercies of the world alone 

but upon the mercies of God."

Having loved the missionaries and watched them grow and develop, it's hard to let them go home.  They have progressed so far from when they first entered the mission.  They have each had their challenge to overcome, but as they have emerged from difficulties, they know they can accomplish anything with God's help.  It's a powerful lesson and one that will bless them for a lifetime.
