The Assistants likened Alma 17:11 to "Our Purpose" that the missionaries quote very time they gather for District Meetings and Zone Conferences.
Alma 17:11
And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the Lamanites, thy brethren,
and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions,
that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me,
and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the
salvation of many souls.
They expounded the virtues of doing an effective role play. It is important to plan what the purpose of the role play is. After doing the role play, missionaries should discuss what they did right and what they can improve. Then they should do the role play again to implement the things that will improve it. When you have role played and know what you want to happen in a lesson, then you are able to listen more closely to the spirit when you are actually teaching a lesson.

The Zone Leaders talked about the importance of how the baptismal invitation is extended and that the spirit should always be present when the invitation is extended.

The Sister Training Leaders lead a discussion about being accountable to Heavenly Father and reporting to Him at the end of the day what has been accomplished and asking how we can improve.
