The theme for Zone Conference this time is the same as the theme for Consiglio held last week. It is "Teach Repentance, Baptize Converts". It was the theme of the Missionwide Missionary Fireside held recently. We are an obedient mission and we follow the counsel given by our leaders. Therefore, we follow their example and teachings.
President Waddoups talked about the story in Luke of the rich young man who wanted to know what more he could do and was told to give up all his riches. That was a huge sacrifice. Missionaries make sacrifices and give up a lot of things when they come on missions. Likewise, people who join the church make many sacrifices and change their way of life when they get baptized.
The Assistants, with the help of the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leader, talked about the importance of being Preach My Gospel missionaries if we are going to invite others to repent and be baptized.
"The #1 thing that will change your mission is reading Preach My Gospel."
