Bari Zone - June 2016 |

Change does not change us!
The zone leaders and sister training leaders talked about the changes that will be taking place in the mission in three weeks. We will be returning home and a new mission president and wife will be taking our place in the Italy Rome Mission. There might be changes in leadership, but the goal of missionaries is still Teach Repentance, Baptize Converts. Just because there will be a new mission president doesn't mean that the goal of missionary work will change. The missionaries will continue on finding, teaching, and baptizing, just like they have always done.

The zone leaders reviewed what had been taught at the last zone conference, which was using the restoration pamphlet as a finding technique. The entire zone is feeling a new energy as they concentrate on this way of finding.
One of the missionaries talked about the importance of talking about the gospel from the very beginning and not focusing on becoming friends first. Once a solid friendship is established, it is harder to teach the gospel because the "friends" don't take the missionaries serious. We need to start out teaching the gospel and let the friendship naturally develop.

We need to be bold in declaring the gospel.

Man I love that Anziano Beesley! Hard to believe it was his departing testimony this time! Thank you for 2 great years of leadership and service and love for our Anziano! And thank you for this blog that kept us current on the goings on in Italy! VVB!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you for all your service to Italy and to these missionaries!!!!! My son has mentioned to us what a great impact you've both had on his mission and his life. Additionally, this blog has been such a gift and blessing to us back at home. This one was extra fun for me to see my son, Anziano Spencer, singing side by side with his cousin, Anziano Cannon. Thank you for taking the time to post. All the best as you return home in a few weeks. I hope you and your family feel very blessed for your service!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, I believe you are in my brothers ward, Wade Solomon., in flower mound , Tx? My son was telling us he met your son and you live down the street from the Solomon's. It's a small world!
