The anzioni in Ladispoli had two baptisms on a Saturday afternoon. The church isn't equipped with a font so they did the baptisms in the sea. They held the meeting portion in the church and then everyone took a 5 minute walk to the sea to watch the baptism. There were a lot of curious stares as we paraded down the street. Wish we had been able to talk to people and answer their questions on the way. Hopefully, some of those same people will see the missionaries in the future and ask them questions. Occasionally baptisms are held in the sea here, but this was the first one we were able to witness. It doesn't really matter where the baptism takes place, what is really important is the covenant that is made at the time to keep God's commandments.
That is so cool! I love the pics!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Cody wished he could have done a baptism in one of the Great Lakes but it never happened. Jason got to do one baptism in a river after a hurricane.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool. I am sad we weren't able to see the one done while we were there, but seriously, that is so awesome!
