Alma 26:5
Behold, the field was ripe, and blessed are ye, for ye did thrust in the sickle,
and did reap with your might, yea, all the day long did ye labor; and behold the number
of your sheaves! And they shall be gathered into the garners, that they are not wasted.
It's hard to believe six weeks have gone by since the last group of missionaries returned home. This time we lost five missionaries. We are excited for them to begin the next chapter of their lives, but sad to lose them. They are a great group of missionaries, but individually they are so different with different personalities, talents and challenges. They return home with stronger testimonies, more maturity, better skills and the ability to succeed in life.
These departing missionaries are part of a unique group. They were on their missions and were part of the beginning of the "hastening". Now as they return home, they are among the group of missionaries who transition into that vast army of "members and missionaries coming together". They are prepared to lead out and set the example for other members to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help others Come Unto Christ.
It's an exciting time to be a missionary.
Gelato - one last time! |
This senior couple was in Rome that day and even though they are not returning home, they were happy to join in saying goodbye to those who were. |
Imitating the picture from two years ago when they came on their missions. |
