We have a sister missionary who injured her knee and had to go home on a temporary basis for surgery. She left one day and this new sister missionary came the next day. The timing was perfect. Miraculously enough, the new sister and her new companion both speak Spanish and Italian. We're curious to see why these two Spanish speaking missionaries are serving together in Rome.

New Missionary
May 6, 2014
Occasionally a missionary will have problems getting a visa to properly enter and serve in a country and will be assigned to serve in a mission other than the one they were called to until those problems are resolved. We received a missionary on a temporary basis until her visa is approved. She is originally from Peru, but immigrated to Italy 20 years ago. She was called as a missionary from Italy so when she had visa problems, she was assigned to our mission until she has clearance to serve in the country she is supposed to be.
