Napoli Zone - November 2015

The Sister Training Leaders began their addestramento by calling two missionaries up to assist them.  One of the missionaries is a very experienced missionary who will be returning home in two weeks.  The other missionary has only been in the mission for two weeks.  Each missionary was given a container and six eggs and asked to break the eggs and put them in the container.  They then wrapped the hands of the new missionary in plastic and then put socks on his hands.  He had an obvious handicap as he tried to accomplish the task.  The purpose was to show the missionaries how important it is to be the hands of the Lord as we go about His purpose.  Preach My Gospel teaches us how to be the kind of missionaries that can accomplish our tasks.

1 Nephi chapter 9 talks about two sets of plates--the larger plates that contained the secular history of the people and the smaller plates that contain the spiritual history.  When Elder Bednar visited the mission in April of 2015, he invited the missionaries to write down the spiritual things that they learned, the things that the spirit taught them, not necessarily what they heard.

The Zone Leaders invited the missionaries in the zone to listen to the things that the spirit taught them during their addestramento and write those things down.  They then proceeded to teach about inviting investigators to make commitments and then follow up with them.

John 7:17
If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God,
or whether I speak of myself.

Matthew 4:19-22
19  And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20  And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

21  And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

22  And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
