Napoli on the Run

March 12, 2016

The really good thing about being on this mission is we have definitely learned that when the Spirit says to do something, we do it whether it's convenient or not.  We are constantly amazed at how the Lord blesses us and makes us equal to the challenge.  At our age, we marvel that we are able to do all that we do and say a prayer of thanks everyday that we are able to do it.

After a three hour drive to Battipaglia early in the morning, we accomplished our task there and headed back to Napoli where we dropped off needed supplies for the missionaries there.  We had invited one of the new senior couples who have been here less than two weeks to accompany us.  They will be handling all the mail, supplies and travel.  It's good for them to get a feel for the logistics and challenges related to doing all those things.

While in Napoli, we took a quick walk to centro before driving on to Pozzouli.

The Pope has declared the year 2016 as a special Jubilee year.  As part of that, certain doors to Catholic churches are opened.  It is said if you walk through the open door, your sins will be forgiven.  We've walked through two of those doors now.
