Napoli Zone Conference

January 22, 2014

During the Napoli Zone Conference, we talked about Personal Revelation.

We did the same exercise we did with the Rome West Zone and blindfolded some of the missionaries and did an activity about learning to listen to the still small voice of the Holy Ghost.  It's amazing to see the results.  This time we had four different groups.  Three of the four blindfolded missionaries were guided right to the picture of Christ.  The fourth missionary wound up going outside and up the steps.  His group was very persuasive and easily led him astray.  For some reason when I asked the designated voice to tell the blindfolded missionary to follow only his voice, all the other missionaries in that group spontaneously chimed in and told him to follow them.  The poor missionary didn't know who to follow.  Basically they all worked to lead him astray and it really worked.  If only they would expend that much energy and work that closely when it comes time to teach investigators about the gospel and help lead them unto Christ.  Hopefully they will have learned the importance of working together for righteous purposes.

The mission goal is to reach 40 baptisms per month.  Because the mission theme is "Bee the best you can bee", we made a beehive and wrote the names of individuals baptized during the month on little bees and attached them to the chart.  The chart holds 40 bees.  We didn't reach the goal of 40, but we did have 18 and we were thrilled.  The official church records indicate 18 in one month is the highest number ever reached.  This is the first month we have had the chart and we expect to fill it one day soon.  Each endowment room at the new Rome temple will hold 40 people.  We came pretty close to filling half a room.  Good job, missionaries!!!  We took a picture of the bees on the chart with all the worker bees in the background.  We know who deserves the credit!
