Palermo Specialized Training

December 12, 2013

We arrived in Palermo early enough that we had time to go to English class with the the missionaries.  They did a great job of teaching.

Following the English class, the missionaries held a single adult Family Home Evening and played stick the button on the snowman.  I went to the family home evening activity while Michael met with some of the missionaries and an investigator.

The Palermo Zone is currently the liveliest zone in the mission.  All the zones have their own personalities that change from time to time as missionaries come and go.  Each missionary brings his or her own unique personality with them when they are transferred.  That blending of personalities is an interesting thing to watch.  Sometimes companionships clash and sometimes they just bond and are like two peas in a pod.  How companionships act affects districts and districts affect zones.  Missionaries who may have struggled in other areas just fit right in when they are transferred.  The blend in Palermo right now is a good blend.  They have a very cohesive zone.  Some of the missionaries we had some concerns about are just blooming right now.  It is a blessing to watch the process and see how the Lord watches over his children and puts them where they need to be to achieve their greatest potential.  Children believe there really is a Santa Claus, but as missionaries, we believe their really is a God.
