Meeting with Area Presidency

The Europe Area Presidency came to Rome to preside over a meeting of LDS leaders in Italy.  All the Stake and District Presidents were invited.  Elder Teixiera presided along with his counselors, Elder Kearon an Elder Dyches.

The Stake Relief Society, Young Women and Primary  leaders were also invited.  I attended the meeting with them.  The wives of the Area Presidency spoke in that meeting.

The main focus of the meeting was being strong wives, mothers, and teachers in the gospel.  Sis. Kearon emphasized that God wants us to become model women.  Because of that, we automatically have a bulls eye on us because Satan doesn't want us to succeed.  The reason behind this is that Satan doesn't have a wife and never will have a wife.  He is jealous of us.  We are his target.

If we aren't following God's model, whose model are we following?

Pres. Hunter said "Whatever God places his hands on lives."  If you allow Jesus to place his hands on your marriage, it will live.  There are three people in a marriage--husband, wife, and God.  When a husband and wife grow closer, they both grow closer to God.

The Area Presidency has set a new goal of 100,000 people in Sacrament Meeting during the month of June.  This goal includes all of the Europe mission, but rest assured the Italy Rome Mission will work very hard to help achieve that goal.

The goal is not just to baptize people, but to truly convert them and get them to the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity.
