Rome East Specialized Training

June 12, 2012

The Elder who oversees mission finances in the office traveled to all the zone conferences with us to provide additional training on the proper way to get reimbursed for mission related expenses.  He also did an adestramento (teaching) on goal setting.  He reiterated the same concept President Waddoups had taught a few months ago about finding people to teach.  He talked about the number of quality conversations each month it requires to actually find a person to baptize.

For every baptism it requires 3 fourth discussions.
For every 3 fourth discussions it requires 6 third discussions.
For every  6 third discussions it requires 12 second discussions.
For every 12 second discussions it requires 39 first discussions.
For every first discussion it requires 312 quality conversations.

312 seems like an overwhelming number of quality conversations at first glance, but when you break it down into 30 days per month, it only requires approximately 10 quality conversations a day.  That's a  number missionaries can achieve.

Therefore an attainable goal for each missionary is 10 quality conversations per day, but the most important thing to remember is that behind every number is a very important person.
