It's a miracle! All 19 new missionaries--11 anzioni and 8 sorelle--arrived on schedule and everyone of them got their luggage. What a delightful surprise. It makes life so much easier when that happens. To make it even sweeter, they arrived early in the morning and we had all day with them. We split them into three groups. One group had interviews with President Waddoups. One group learned about getting their permesso's (permission to stay in Italy) and finances. The other group went on an hour tour to see the temple site and drive past the Colosseum. We rotated them three times and it was time for dinner at the villa and then they opened their Golden Envelopes that contained the information as to where they were going to serve and who their companion would be.
For dinner we invited our cute Italian sister to fix dinner at the villa. She is so cute and fun. The missionaries just love her and she lets them help her cook. It just doesn't get much better than that.
This group of missionaries are so prepared to go out and do the Lord's work. It amazes me that they are so awesome.
